Entering contract based on professional advice

My lawyer recommended that I invest part of my inheritance in a new business venture he had heard about and invested in himself. The shares turned out to be valueless within a few months. I suspect the lawyer had a personal interest in the venture. Can I sue my lawyer to recover my lost money?
