My dog was put down because someone lied and said it bit them, what can I do?

My dog is a pedigree breeding animal, and I make an income from him. Recently my neighbour lied and said that it had bit her because she was jealous he had beaten her dog in a show. My dog was put down. I want to sue her for my lost income because she lied.
