Guest Lawyers Welcomes Kris Jahnke to the Fold

We’re delighted to welcome the latest addition to the Guest Lawyers team, Kris Jahnke. Kris is one of the most experienced young lawyers in Brisbane, having worked at a number of criminal law firms before joining us here at Guest LawyersHe has worked on a number of high profile cases and developed a unique knowledge of the requirements to properly defend a person’s rights. Needless to say, we’re very happy to have him working with us.

Kris has experience working with clients charged with Murder, Serious Drug Offences, Assaults, Serious Sex Offences including Child Sex Offences, Stealing, Fraud at Commonwealth and State Level and Traffic Offences. Kris has also had experience making Applications to the Magistrates court including Special Hardship Order Applications and Work Licence Applications.

In addition to his extensive experience in criminal law, he also regularly represents clients involved in commercial litigation.

Kris is regularly retained to appear in trials before the Magistrates Court, District and Supreme Court. He also regularly appears before the Court of Appeal and the District Court in its appellant jurisdiction. He also has experience in the Federal jurisdictions including the High Court.

Kris is committed to ensuring clients know where they stand in relation to their legal defence by making himself available at all hours of the day. He has a strong belief that for lawyers to properly represent a client they must be easily accessible and willing to talk through any issues the client may have.

Kris has graduated with a Bachelor of Laws from the Queensland University of Technology and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Australian National University. He is also admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia.
