EXHUMATIONS - ESTABLISHING PATERNITY - FRONTIER IN FPA DISPUTES?

Reading the attached report, one would ordinarily expect that it is a highly unusual event. Our firm however was once involved in a matter where paternity was in question in the estate and DNA tests were required of the long buried deceased. It is not an easy task. The delicacy aside of approaching family as to exhumation, scientifically relevant is the length of time the body has been buried as the DNA quality diminishes over time. In our matter that was an issue, fortunately for all concerned we were able to establish paternity by other means.
