Monique was admitted as a barrister and solicitor of the ACT Supreme Court in August 2009, and as a practitioner of the High Court in July 2011. Currently working as the Criminal Division Legal Officer with the Supreme Court of Victoria, she manages all criminal applications that come before the Court and advises Judges on a wide range of criminal law matters. Her interest in criminal law was piqued during her employment as a prosecutor in the ACT. Her work included prosecuting summary and summary/indictable matters in the Magistrates and Children’s Court, instructing on complex committals, trials and appeals in the Supreme Court. She is fluent in 4 languages and enjoys ballet dancing, painting and traveling in her spare time.

I had been seconded to work on large matters such as Horsham Bushfires by Justice J Forrest; the prosecution of Julian Smith, the Director of Opes Prime and a number of highly sensitive criminal trials under Justice E Curtain and Justice S Kaye.
