Emily Boutard is a qualified lawyer, who previously worked at the Melbourne office of law firm King & Wood Mallesons. Emily is passionate about access to justice, and the right of everyday Australians to feel empowered in their interactions with the legal system. Emily also believes strongly that technology is the way of the future for the legal industry and is excited by the way LawAdvisor seamlessly offers technological solutions to the problem of accessibility of the law. In her spare time, Emily studies architecture.

Emily has been working for LawAdvisor in a legal research and general legal support role. Her role with LawAdvisor is a diverse one, and she has assisted in many areas of the company's development. Her broad knowledge of legal research methods as well as her previous experience in commercial law have made her an important part of the LawAdvisor support team.
January, 2012 - February, 2014
During her time at King & Wood Mallesons Emily was part of the planning and environment group. Her work covered a diverse range of issues including local government work, planning scheme amendments and environmental approvals. In addition to this Emily also focused on heritage issues and general property law, including restrictive covenants and leasing. During her time in this large commercial firm, Emily gained experience in taxation, company structuring as well as banking and finance regulation.
